YARN RAW MATERIALS
Resin: Rana Poly Green Fila Pvt. Ltd strictly uses DOW chemical’s LLDPE resins for yarn production in order to be at par with the international market. It helps us maintain a clear extrusion line and minimizes wastage and maintain a low shrinkage factor therby making our yarn a premium quality product. It is only because of resins from DOW Chemicals that our yarn has been certified and approved by International Testing Laboratories like ISA sports and Labosports.
Masterbatch: We at Rana Poly Green Fila Pvt. Ltd, use Clariant Masterbatch in order to maintain the yarn quality as per international standards. This helps us in flexible colour matching and maintaining light stabilization on sports surfaces as well as in landscaping.
KEY FEATURES OF OUR YARN
The dtex and thickness control of a yarn effects a finished carpets appearance and consistent performance characteristics. Even with the best colour dosing systems in place a carpet will look streaky if a relatively constant tape thickness cannot be achieved. The thickness of a yarn also dictates importantly, its wear rate and UV resistance.
Comparison of the major grass yarn manufacturers specifications show that Rana Poly has one of the most rigid tolerances regarding thickness and dtex, making it one of the most consistent performing yarns available.
One of the largest factors affecting the longevity of a synthetic turf system is the ability of the yarn to resist degradation by exposure to UV light. The right additives are crucial for sufficient UV stability. Rana Poly works closely with their additive suppliers to find only the most suitable UV packages.
To ensure the simulated lab tests reflect the conditions, to which the turf is exposed, all test machine settings are set to closely mirror the light spectrum from natural sunlight. Condensation, dark cycles and temperature changes are also recreated to reflect natural outdoor conditions.

Rana Poly Green colour formulations are made using only pre-selected pigments, which are shown to be superior in light-fastness and weather ability. All sporting surfaces are subjected to abrasion with every use. Therefore the service lifetime of a surface will is dependent on the ability to resist wear by abrasion.

3. KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
We at Rana Poly Green Fila Pvt. Ltd, have made considerable progress and are very gratified to highlight the following points:
- In 2012 we got our yarn tested and certified from FIFA and FIH international standard laboratories namely – ISA Sports from Netherlands and Labosport, UK. This has further added a feather to our cap and has helped us establish a name in the global market.
- We have diversified into providing complete grass solution to our customers’ right from the yarn production, sub base construction and grass laying. We have been able to successfully attain and complete the construction of sub base work at various stadiums (FIFA sponsored) in India and Bhutan. We do believe that this is one of our significant achievements as it has not only given us the knowhow of sub base construction and grass laying but it has further opened up avenues and made us capable of independently executing an entire process from grass root level of yarn manufacturing to the hindmost stage of grass laying whether it be at stadiums, grounds or simply at pools, balconies and open spaces.
4. SUB BASE CONSTRUCTION- An additional Forte
We have a wide experience of constructing the sub bases for FIFA Goal projects in India, Bhutan & other neighboring countries. Before artificial turf is laid on football, hockey or any other sports ground, the sub base needs to be constructed in order to ensure proper protection, drainage and utility thereby increasing the life of artificial turf & the ground. After constructing over 10 grounds & closely working with European companies on FIFA projects, we can boast of creating soothing and safe play areas.
The following are the major steps during sub base construction:
- Site evaluation
- Excavation and removal of soil.
- Ground filling, compaction and maintaining the desired ground slopes.
- Installation of impermeable field liners
- Perimeter drainage collector network and field composite drainage grid system
- Construction of permeable aggregate base layer.
Then the artificial turf is laid on the ground. The soft texture of Rev Turf’s sports turf is comparable to real grass and the cushioned underlay provides excellent player comfort and safety.
Ropes are manufacture traditionally from natural fibers like Jute, sisal etc. Synthetics Ropes are made from Nylon, Polypropylene, HDPE and Polyester resin.
BRIEF MANUFACTURING PROCESS/b>
Polymer in the form of chips is melt & extruded using extruders & electrical heaters. It is spun in the form of filaments & wound on the spools. Colorants are added at the extrusion stage to give the filaments the desired color. Filaments produced as per above are then twisted on ring twister giving it a preliminary twist. Twisted spools are then fed to rope making machines to produce ropes of desired diameter. Ropes are the packed into coil form, with 100 m or 200 m. using coiling machines.
Colors that are greatly used in the market are – blue, green, yellow, orange, red, white, brown and black. Ropes are produced as per market requirement with 3, 4 or 8 strands with sizes varying from 4mm to 40mm.
Ropes are used in various industries like Fishing, Shipping, Oil, Agricultural, Construction, Marine, Telecommunication industries and also have house hold applications.
Ropes manufacturing process is hazards free & does not cause harm to environment.
This product is highly coveted in the market owing to its long lastingness, light weight, high breaking strength, good shock energy and minimum elongation. In addition to this, it is highly resistive to heat and very flexible and chemically inert.
